Hi. I’m leaving town to go to Rhode Island to talk to the nice folks at the RILA conference on Thursday. Then I’m heading to the West Coast for a much needed vacation/catsit, leaving my adored partner to wrangle with the first week of bar review classes on his own. If there are people in the San Francisco area who have good “what to do” advice, please drop me an email, im or comment.

  2. I have no idea if it is still there, but when I visited a friend in the Bay Area in 1995, we went to an awesome showing/performance of Rocky Horror Picture Show in a theater in Berkeley.

  3. I’ve lived in the Bay Area for almost a year, so I’m still exploring. (I work for the UC Berkeley library system.) Check the East Bay Express (eastbayexpress.com) for East Bay happenings, SF Weekly (sfweekly.com) for stuff going in the City, or the Squid List (http://laughingsquid.org/squidlist) for off-the-beaten-path activities in the whole area. How long will you be here?
