self-involved autoerotic narcissism
If you'd like to hear my chippy the chipmunk voice, the Boston Globe's "meet the bloggers" section has a little audioblog snippets of me and some of the others. Posted by jessamyn at July 29, 2004 02:09 PMNow that you're a big star - mentioned in the
wall street journal and the NY Times in the
same day - I'm gratified that you would still
put Mod 87 references in your section headings...
thanks for not forgetting where you came from,
man! :-)
"chippy the chipmonk voice"?
While I am not at a computer at the moment that I can listen to it (will later though), I thought yours would be more akid to a female wudchuck (i.e., woodchuck) voice (unless you're just another transplant [flatlander], like myself, of course)?!
You're representing Vermont blogger's proudly. Way to go!

Posted by: emigre at July 29, 2004 03:38 PMYeah, I lived in the NEK [Northeast Kingdom] (in Barton) for a year -- from mid-1996 to mid-1997 -- myself.
It was while there that I first managed to get hooked up with (as well as hooked on) using the Internet, using the public access computers at the little public library in town an hour or so (or maybe it was limited to only a half hour, I cannot recall actually) at a time, thanks to the librarians and also scholl children teaching me the basics of what to do and how to do it.
They certainly could use broadband, especially as it would help with gaining some high tech related industry there, as with the high unemployment there, the NEK badly needs the jobs and tax revenues it could bring.
Otherwise it can be a really nice place to live, in my opinion anyway.
