trivial issues: what to wear

One of the convention blogs site is starting to tackle one of my larger trivial questions: what do I wear? At my library I dress at the low end of professionally which seems good for everyone. I know it's Summer outside, but it's often chilly at our library due to high powered air conditioning and the fact that I don't move around too much at the reference desk. I bet it will be cold at the Convention Center. Clamor Magazine sent me a "Revolution of Everyday Life" hoodie in exchange for an article I wrote about the USA PATRIOT Act [coming up next issue!] which might look professional enough if I wore it over a dress... maybe? I recommend wearing a lot of black. Black is so versatile. You can dress it up or down. Bring a pair of black pants, a black skirt, a black cardigan, and a black short sleeve top. Then add maybe two other tops in bright colors and you are all set for the whole convention. Oh yeah, don't forget your pearls.

I hope to see the bloggers out there (at BOTH conventions) paying attention to the topics that get ignored by the newshandlers and arrangement specialists, out of a pathetic and trembling fear that something unscripted might happen.
